"We rented this magnificent castle in June 2023 for a few days to celebrate our wedding. Around thirty people were on site and everything we needed was available: comfortable bedrooms, access to the swimming pool and a well-equipped kitchen. The car park can also accommodate a bus.

As for the wedding itself, the setting was idyllic. The outdoor courtyard is a great place for a toast before the ceremony. At around 6pm, the temperature was pleasant, even in the heat, and with live music playing in the background, it was just ideal. On the other side, along the ramparts, there's a perfect spot for group or couple photos, and the late summer afternoon light is ideal.

As for the meal, we chose to have it in the room upstairs, which was neither too hot nor too dark, and which could seat 80 people.The rest of the evening, after the cake, was spent in the dance hall and bar on the ground floor, which had good acoustics.

The major advantage was that there was no need to decorate too much or have too many flowers, as the building is uncluttered and has a lot of charm."

“This castle combines the charm of a medieval fortress (exposed stones, towers, machicolation, arms room, etc.), with the pleasure and comfort of a beautiful, bright residence open to a very beautiful landscape. Furnished and decorated with taste, without ostentation, it exudes an atmosphere of intimacy far from the images that one can have of a stronghold. The welcome is excellent, both warm and discreet. Our hosts were very attentive to our well-being. Excellent breakfast, plentiful and varied, in a sumptuous setting. We appreciated having the keys to the castle, being able to walk there at leisure. We felt like at home there. We were delighted with our stay.
As for the room, we occupied the Caumont room: it had a very nice view and was very comfortable. »

Romantic stay

"As a wedding venue, it offers so many possibilities: the beautiful building itself and surrounding grounds, stunning bedrooms, a banqueting room for a sit-down meal, spaces to hold the ceremony in a variety of settings, an industrial kitchen, magnificent ramparts and stunning views.

We woke up to amazing sunrises every morning and all our guests loved the experience. We wanted to make the most of the different rooms and this was easy, as the layout of the château is ideal for an event such as a wedding. Everything was smooth and practical: the guest toilets, for example, were easily accessible in the basement. Having a bar right next to the entrance made it easy to serve welcome drinks.

We held a pool party the day after the wedding, which allowed our guests to enjoy another beautiful aspect of the château. We used the covered area of the pool house to set up a buffet and bar where guests could quench their thirst in the shade, if required. The children particularly enjoyed the day.

Geneviève was very helpful in responding to our emails throughout the run-up to our booking, including bringing the booking forward by a year due to the pandemic. The caretaker, who lives on the farm opposite the chateau, was on hand to answer any questions we had and we were able to enjoy our stay. He was very helpful.

I would highly recommend the chateau for a wedding or holiday as it is beautiful."

The reception took place in the gardens as did the meal the next day and everyone loved the dominant and magnificent view of the surroundings. And the descent to the church surrounded by sunflowers, what more could you ask for as a setting for your wedding!
And then the rooms are very spacious, decorated with great taste and have a lot of charm each in their own way. Just like the bathrooms, clean and "classy".
